HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-05-28; Municipal Water District; Resolution 22RESOLUTION NO. 22 FESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIriECTORS OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DECLARING ITS IMTENTION To CISANGE THE BOUND- CIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND FIXING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ARIES OF A PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT WITHIN SAID MUTE- ON SUCH CHANGE. WHEXEAS, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT has - held a hearing on the formation of a proposed improvement district within said municipal water district; and WHEREAS, at said hearing it appeared that there should be a change in the boundaries of said proposed improvement district NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows: Section 1. That at the time and place set forth in the notice herein contained a hearing shall be held on the proposed change in the boundaries of the said proposed improvement district. Section 2. That the notice herein contained is hereby adopted and approved. Section 3. That the Secretary of the district is hereby ordered and dir- ected to cause said notice to be published once at least ten days prior to said hearing in the CARlLSEAD JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation printed and published in said municipal water district and to post a copy of said notice in six public places within said proposed improvement district at lbast ten days before said hearing. Section 4. That the notice of said hearing shall be substantially as follows: NOTICE OF INTENTION To CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF A PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT DTSTRICT WITHIN CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL VATER DISTRICT AND YOTICE OF HEARING ON SUCH CHANGE. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT intends to form an improvement district of a portion of the district which in the opinion of said Board will be benefited by the incurring of a bonded indebtedness in the sum of $l,3~,0poO, for the purpose of the acquisition and construction of a water transmimion pipeline with appurtenances and appurtenant works from the facilities of the San Piego County Water Authority located in the San Marcos, Escondido Area (at a point to be approved by the San Diego County itlater Authority) to a point within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District east of Eighland Avenue, including works, machinery and other property (including lands and eass ments) useful and necessasy to store, convey, supply and otherwise make use of water for the lands and inhabitants within a portion of said Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and including expenses of all pro- ceedings for the authorisation, issuance and sale of the bonds taxes levied for payment of said bonds and the interest thereon to be levied ex- clusively upon taxable property in the improvement district. NOTICE IS ETJRTPER GIVEN that said Board has held a hearing on the forma- tion of said proposed improvement district. N0"ICE IS FC'RTHER GIVEN that said Board intends to change the boundaries of said proposed improvement district. NOTICE IS FVRTRER BIWIN tbat the exterior boundaries of said proposed improvement district as proposed to be changed are set forth on a map on file with We Secretary of the district, which map shall govern as to all details as to the extent of the proposed improvement district. NOTICE IS FURTFTER QXV" that a hearing will be held on such boundary change at the time and place below specified, to wit: TIME: Wednesday, June 13, 1956, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. PLACE: Meeting place of the Board of Mrectors of the Carlsbad hnicipal Water District at the Carlsbad City Hall, 29@ Pi0 plco Boulevard, Carlsbad, California. HOTICE IS FURTHER [EIVEN that at said time and place any person interested, including any person owning property within said municipal water district, or the proposed improvement district may appear and be heard.
