RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF -BAD MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT ACCEPTING BID FOR SUPPLIES FOR CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors authorized the District Engineer to request
reputable and competitive companies to submit bids for supplying the necessary i-
pipe and fittings for the construction of Santa l?e Chlorination station and
aqueduct connection; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors received three bids for supplying the
necessary pipe for said construction work, as follows:
AMERICAN PIPE $17,189.40
SOUTHERN PIPE $15,460.00
SMITH-SCOTT CO., INC. $16,160.25
and ;
WHEREAS, District Engineer has examined said bids and made a report to the
Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that it is to the best in-
terests of the district to accept the lowest bid for said pipe;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND AWARD As FQLLOWS:
1. That the bid of SOIJTHERN PIPE, Division of U. S. Industries, Inc., in
the amount of $15,460.00 to supply all the necessary pipe for the construction
of Santa Fe Chlorination Station and Aqueduct Connection is the lowest bid sub-
mitted and said bid is hereby accepted.
2. That the Superintendent of the district is authorized to execute any
necessary documents on behalf of and in the name of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District.
ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 24th day of June, 1959.
