RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE AMOUNTS
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT,
PAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3
MENT DISTRICT NO, 4 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT, AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. U7 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DURING THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1, 1965 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1966, AND FIXING THE RATES OF TAX TO BE LEVIED FOR SUCH
IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 2 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICI-
OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVE-
FISCAL YEAR.
WHEREAS, Sections 72090 through 72099, inclusive, of the Water Code,
provide that the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District shall
determine the amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal
year and that the Board of Directors shall fix the rates of tax to be levied
which raise the amounts of money required by the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
are required to certify to the Board of Supervisors of the C ounty of San Diego,
the rate or rates so fixed and shall furnish to the said Board of Supervisors a
statement in writing containing the following:
(a) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year for the payment of
the principal of and interest on any bonded debt of the District
or an improvement district thereof as will become due before
the proceeds of a tax levied at the next general tax levy will
be available.
(b) An estimate of the minimum amount of money required to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year for all other purposes
of the District; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Water District did exclude certain
territory from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of said District, which was
adopted on September 5, 1956, and filed with Secretary of State of the State
of California on October 24, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24, 1956,
issue his certificate of exclusion; a certified copy of which was filed with
the County Clerk of the County of San Diego on or about November 1, 1956;
I WHEREAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion no bonded
indebtedness existed against the said excluded territory; and
WHEREAS, there have been duly formed within the boundaries of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District five improvement districts known as
Improvement District No. 1 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
Improvement District No. 2 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
Improvement District No. 3 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
Improvement District No. 4 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and
Improvement District No. U7 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; and
WHEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against each of
said Improvement Districts, with the exception of Improvement District
c No. U7 which has no bonded indebtedness; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District the revenues of the District and the Improvement
Districts therein will probably be inadequate to pay the principal and interest
on the bonded debt of the said Improvement Districts and all other amounts
set forth in Section 71616 of the Water Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby determines that the estimated minimum amounts necessary to be
raised by taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1965 and ending
June 30, 1966, are as follows: r- (a) Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
None for the payment of any principal and interest
for bonded debt of said Water District.
$52, 751. 00 for all other purposes of the District.

Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District:
$47, 203. 00 for payment of principal and interest on
the bonded debt of said Improvement District.
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District:
$23, 576.00 for payment of principal and interest on
the bonded debt of said Improvement District.
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District:
$67, 349. 00 for payment of principal and interest on
the bonded debt of said improvement district.
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
$21, 285. 00 for payment of principal and interest on
the bonded debt of said Improvement District.
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. U7 of the Carlsbad
Muni cipal Water Di s tr i ct :
None for payment of principal and interest on the
bonded debt of said Improvement District.
$2, 215.00 for all other purposes of the District.
2. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby fixes the rates of taxes to be levied in the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District as follows:
(a) For Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(i) Twelve Cents ($. 12) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all properties within the boundaries of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, as such assessed valuation appears on the last equalized assessed roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego.
(b) For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(i) Eleven Cents ($. 11) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy being
made for bond retirement purposes.

(ii) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 1
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all
other purposes of said Improvement District.
(c) For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
i-
(i) Fifty Cents ($. 50) for each $100. 00 of assessed
valuation on all property within the boundaries of
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear
on the last equalized assessment roll of the County
Assessor of County of San Diego, with such levy
being made for bond retirement purposes.
(ii) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all other purposes of said Improve- ment District.
(d) For Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District:
(i) Two Dollars and Thirty-Eight Cents ($2. 38) for each
$100. 00 of assessed valuation on all properties within
the boundaries of Improvement District No. 3 of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District and such assessed
valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll
of the County Assessor of County of San Diego, with
such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(ii) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all other purposes of said Improve- ment District .
(e) For Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District:
(i) Five Cents ($. 05) for each $100.00 of assessed valuation
on all property within the boundaries of Improvement
District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as
such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County Assessor of County of
San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retire-
ment purposes.
(ii) No levy is required on property within the boundaries
of Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District for all other purposes of said Improve-
ment District.
(f) For Improvement District No. U7 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
c (i) Eleven Cents ($. 11) for each $100.00 assessed valua-
tion on all properties within the boundaries of the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District, as such assessed
valuation appears on the last equalized assessed roll
of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego.
None of such levy being made for bond retirement.

3. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs, that at the time and in the manner required by law for the
levying of taxes for county purposes, the Board of Supervisors of County of
I San Diego shall levy, in addition to such other tax as may be levied by said r-
Board of Supervisors, at the rates heretofore fixed and determined by the
Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, taxes upon the
property within the Carlsbad Municipal Water District; Improvement District
No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District No. 2 of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District, Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District, and Improvement District No. U7 of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District as hereinabove set forth.
4. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that the territory excluded from Carlsbad Municipal Water
District under the provisions of Ordinance 7 of said District shall not be
subject to taxation by Carlsbad Municipal Water District or Improvement
District No. 1 thereof.

5. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal Water District
hereby directs that this Resolution shall take effect immediately and shall be
effective for purposes of taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1,
1965 and ending June 30, 1966.
6. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District is
hereby authorized and directed to forward three certified copies of this
Resolution to the Board of Supervisors of County of San Diego.
