RESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DETERMINING THE AMOUNTS
NECESSARY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION IN THE CARLS-
BAD MUNICIPAL, WATER DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NO. 1 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
IMPROVEMENT NO. 2 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT, IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT, AND IMPROVE-
MENT DISTRICT NO. 4 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT, DURING THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING JULY 1,
1968, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1969, AND FIXING THE
RATES OF TAX TO BE LEVIED FOR SUCH FISCAL YEAR

WHEREAS, Sections 72090 through 72099, inclusive, of
the Water Code, provides that the Board of Directors of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District shall determine the amounts
necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal year
and that the Board of Directors shall fix the rates of tax
to be levied which raise the amounts of money required by
the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District are required to certify to the Board of Super-
visors of the County of San Diego the rate or rates so fixed
and shall furnish to the said Board of Supervisors a state-
ment in writing containing the following:
(a) An estimate of the minimum amount of money
required to be raised by taxation during the
fiscal year for the payment of the principal
of and interest on any bonded debt of the
District or an improvement district thereof
as will become due before the proceeds of a
tax levied at the next general tax levy will
be available.
(b) An estimate of the minimum amount of money
required to be raised by taxation during
the fiscal year for all other purposes of
the District; and
WHEREAS, Carlsbad Municipal Water District did exclude
certain territory from its boundaries by Ordinance No. 7 of
said District, which was adopted on September 5, 1956, and
filed with the Secretary of State of the State of California
on October 24, 1956; and
WHEREAS, the said Secretary of State did on October 24,
1956, issue his certificate of exclusion; a certified copy
of which was filed with the County Clerk of the County of
San Diego on or about November 1, 1956; and
WHEREAS, at the time of the aforementioned exclusion
no bonded indebtedness existed against the said excluded
territory; and
WHEREAS, there have been duly formed within the boundaries
of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District four improvement
districts known as Improvement District No. 1 of the Carls-
bad Municipal Water District, Improvement District No. 2 of
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District
No. 3 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and Improve-
ment District No. 4 of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District;
and
WHEREAS, there now exists a bonded indebtedness against
each of said Improvement Districts; and
WHEREAS, in the judgment of the Board of Directors of
Carlsbad Municipal Water District, the revenues of the
District and the Improvement Districts therein will probably

be inadequate to pay the principal and interest of the
bonded debt of the said Improvement Districts and all other
amounts set forth in Section 71616 of the Water Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CARLSBAD
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY DETERMINE AND RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District hereby determines that the estimated minimum
amounts necessary to be raised by taxation during the fiscal
year commencing July 1, 1968, and ending June 30, 1969, are
as follows:
Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
None for the payment of any principal and
interest for bonded debt of said Water
District.
$ 67,548.00 for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District:
$49,518.00
interest on the bonded debt of said Improve-
ment District.
for payment of principal and
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District:
$ 39,351.00
interest on the bonded debt of said Improve-
ment District.
for payment of principal and
None for all other purposes of the District.
Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
$ 43,200.00 for payment of principal and
interest on the bonded debt of said Improve-
ment District.
None for all other purposes of the District.

(e) Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District:
$ interest on the bonded debt of said Improve- ment District.
None for all other purposes of the District.
2. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District hereby fixes the rates of taxes to be levied
in the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows:
21,224-00 for payment of principal and
For Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(1) $ O,12 for each $100.00 of assessed
valuation on all properties within the bound- aries of Carlsbad Municipal Water District,
as such assessed valuation appears on the
last equalized assessed roll of the County
Assessor of the County of San Diego.
For Improvement District No. 1 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District :
(1) $ 0.09 for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the bound- aries of Improvement District No. 1 of Carls- bad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assess- ment roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within
the boundaries of Improvement District No.1
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all
other purposes of said Improvement District.
For Improvement District No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(1) $ 0.40 for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all property within the bound- aries of Improvement District No. 2 of Carls- bad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of
the County of San Diego, with such levy being
made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within
the boundaries of the Improvement District
No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all other purposes of said Improvement
District.

(d) For Improvement District No. 3 of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District:
(1) $ 0.90 for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all properties within the bound- aries of Improvement District No. 3 of Carls- bad Municipal Water District as such assessed valuations appear on the last equalized assessment roll of the County Assessor of
the County of San Diego, with such levy being
made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within the boundaries of Improvement District No.3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all
other purposes of said Improvement District.
(e) For Improvement District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District:
(1) $ 0.04 for each $100.00 of assessed valuation on all properties within the bound- aries of Improvement District No. 4 of Carls- bad Municipal Water District as such assessed
valuations appear on the last equalized
assessment roll of the County Assessor of the County of San Diego, with such levy being made for bond retirement purposes.
(2) No levy is required on property within
the boundaries of Improvement District No.4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District for all
other purposes of said Improvement District.
3. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Nunicipal
Water District hereby directs, that at the time and in the
manner required by law for the levying of taxes for county
purposes, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
Diego shall levy, in addition to such other tax as may be
levied by said Board of Supervisors, at the rates heretofore
fixed and determined by the Board of Directors of Carlsbad
Municipal Water District, taxes upon the property within the
Carlsbad Municipal Water District; Improvement District No.1
of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District
No. 2 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, Improvement District
No. 3 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District, and Improvement
District No. 4 of Carlsbad Municipal Water District as herein-

above set forth.
4. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District hereby directs that the territory excluded
from Carlsbad Municipal Water District under the provisions
of Ordinance 7 of said District, shall be subject to taxa-
tion by Carlsbad Municipal Water District of Improvement
District No. 1 thereof.
5. That the Board of Directors of Carlsbad Municipal
Water District hereby directs that this Resolution shall
take effect immediately and shall be effective for purposes
of taxation during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1968
and ending June 30, 1969.
6. That the Secretary of the Carlsbad Municipal Water
District is hereby authorized and directed to forward three
certified copies of this Resolution to the Board of Super-
visors of the County of San Diego.
