RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONTRACT
OF THE COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Board of Administration of the Public Em-
ployees' Retirement System and the Board of Directors of COSTA REAL
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT entered into a Contract, effective on
March 1, 1963, providing for the participation of said COSTA REAL
MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT in the Public Employees' Retirement Sys-
P i tern; and
WHEREAS, it is now desirable to take advantage of certain
benefits provided under said Retirement System and not included in
said Contract .
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF COSTA REAL MUNI-
CIPAL WATER DISTRICT DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Board of Directors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL
WATER DISTRICT authorize, and it does hereby authorize, an amendment
to said Contract, a copy of said amendment being attached hereto,
marked Exhibit "A", and by such reference made a part hereof as
though herein set out in full.

2. That the President and Secretary of the Board of Di-

rectors of COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT be, and they are
hereby authorized, empowered and directed to execute said amendment
for and on behalf of said COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT. 7

AXENDMENT TO CCNTRACT BETWEEN THE
BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION
PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM
AND THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
.- The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement Sy'stern, here-
inafter referred to as Board, and the above public agency,
hereinafter referred to as Public Agency, into a contract under
date of February 5, 1965, .effective March hich provides for partici-
i pation of Public Agency in said System, Board Public Agency hereby agFee as

A. Paragraphs 1 through 12 are hereby contract as executed
effective March 1, 1967, and paragraphs
numbered 1 through 9 inclusive:

2. Public Agsncy shall participate in the Public Employees' Retirement
System from and after March 1, 1967 making its employees as herein-
after provided, members of said System subject to all provisions of
the Public Employees' Retirement Law except such as apply only on
election of a contracting agency and are not provided for herein and
to all amendments to said Law hereafter enacted except such as by
express provisions thereof apply only on the election of contracting
agencies.
c - 3. Employees of Public Agency in the following classes shall become
members of said Retirement System except such in each such class as
are excluded by law or this agreement:

In addition to the classes of employees excluded from membership by

become members of said Retirement System:

7. Public Agency shall contribute to said Retirement $ystem as follows:

miscellaneous members of said Retirement System:
(1) 0.054 percent un5il June 30, 2000 on account of the
liability for prior service benefits.
(2) 9.796 percent on account of the liability for current
service benefits.
(3) 0.400 percent on account of the liability for the 1959
Survivor Program.
b. A reasonable amount, as fixed by the Board, payable in one
installment within 60 days of date of contract to cover the costs
of administering said System as it affects the employees of
Public Agency, not including the costs of special valuations or
of the periodic investigation and valuations required by law.
c. A reasona'ble amount as fixed by the Board, payable in one
installment 9s the occasions arise, to cover the costs of special
valuations on sccount of employees of Public Agency, and costs of
the periodic investigation and valuations required by law.

9. Contributions required of Public Agency and Lts employees sha!.l be
paid by Public Agency to the Retirement 3ys5ern within 5hhlrtjr d:qs
after the end of th? period to which said contributions refer or as
may be prescribe? by Board regulation. If more or less than the
correct amount of contributions is paid for any period, propel-
adjustment shall be made in connection with subsequent remittances, or
adjustments on account of errors in contributions required of any
employee nay be made by dPrect czsh payments between the employee ar,d
the Board. Payments by Public Agency to Board may be made in the form
of warrants, bank checks, bank drafts, certified checks, money orders
or cssh.
B. This amendment shall be attached to said contract and shall be effective on
the day of 9 19-.
