RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
SUPPORTING THE SAN DIEGUITO BASIN WATER RECLAMATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Association of Water Reclamation Agencies
(AWRA) is a loose association of local governments, private
organizations and individuals in San Diego County interested in
promoting water reclamation through coordinated planning,
construction and operation of facilities for the use of reclaimed

waste water as a supplement to the San Diego Region's water
supply, and
WHEREAS, the Costa Real Municipal Water District is a
member of the Association of Water Reclamation Agencies for the
purpose of actively supporting the Association's goals: and
WHEREAS, a group of land owners in the San Dieguito Basin
is interested in cooperating to produce a centralized sewage
collection system and provide reclaimed water for the lower San
Dieguito Basin; and
WHEREAS, a conceptual plan for providing reclaimed water
to the lower San Dieguito Basin has been produced and submitted
to AWRA for review; and
WHEREAS, the Olivenhain Municipal Water District, the
County of San Diego, the Santa Fe Irrigation District, and other
interested agencies are requesting AWRA to help support the San
Dieguito Basin Water Reclamation Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1: That the Board of Directors of the Costa Real

Municipal Water District strongly support the San Dieguito Basin
Water Reclamation Plan and the efforts of the Association of
Water Reclamation Agencies to promote, support and assist in the
development of the cost effect and beneficial use of reclaimed
water.
Section 2: That the Board of Directors of the Costa Real
Municipal Water District urges the Association of Water
Reclamation Agencies to continue to work toward interagency and
intergovernmental cooperation for the support of this plan and
all beneficial uses of reclaimed water.
Section 3: The Secretary of the Costa Real Municipal
Water District is hereby authorized and directed to transmit a
certified copy of this Resolution on behalf of the District to
the Association of Water Reclamation Agencies, to the Regional
Water Quality Control Board and to each State Legislator
representing San Diego County.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Board of Directors of
the Costa Real Municipal Water District at a regular meeting held
on November 6, 1985.

by the Board of Directors of said District at a regular meeting
of the Board held on the 6th day of November 1985, and that it
