RESOLUTION NO. 554
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
CREATING THE POSITION OF WATER EDUCATION SPECIALIST
AND ADDING A JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THAT POSITION
WHEREAS, the District has identified a need to infor
public regarding important water issues, and
WHEREAS, the District has adopted a budget which i.nclt
position titled Water Education Specialist, and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend Article 3 Section 3#
Article 4 Section 4.4; and add a job description according I

WATER EDUCATION SPECIALIST
I DEFINITION
Under guidance of the General Manager, serves as the inform
officer for the District. Performs varied, difficult and respon
technical duties related to the District's school, water cons1 tion, community relations and employee relations programs.
TYPICAL DUTIES
Develop and coordinate operation of program by purchasing and dj
buting water education materials, training teachers to use mate1 administer the Watch Our Water! (WOW!) program, conduct clas
presentations, coordinate field trips and coordinate with C Water Authority's school education program.
Plan and coordinate the publicity necessary to make the public of the Model Home Education and Demonstration Project at Capri
plan for the development of the District's demonstration garde landscaping at the Allan 0, Kelly Operations Center to incluc
sign, educational goals and programs, publicity and communit volvement in this project,
Prepare newspaper publicity, bulletins and brochures descr

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or unive sity with a degree in Journalism, Communicati or related major.
