RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
AND REMAIN IN FORCE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DECLARING THAT A STAGE 5 WATER ALERT BE IMPLEMENTED
WHEREAS, a series of adverse events have affected the I

8 Alert, which requires a 30% water conservation effort; and
WHEREAS, both the METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT and thc DIEGO COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY have declared a Stage 5 1
9 WHEREAS, in San Diego County, local water supplies are
ten-year low, compounding the additional demands on imp( 10 water;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Direct01
the Carlsbad Municipal Water District as follows:
1. Given the current water shortages and potential for
serious shortages, the Carlsbad Municipal Water District ( for a 30 percent reduction in water use over expected
levels of use.
2. This 30 percent reduction is a Stage 5 Water Alert a in accordance with the District's Ordinance No. 35 adopt6
this date, March 5, 1991.
