RESOLUTION NO. 52
A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY
PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING
RECLASSIFICATION FRCM ZONE R-A to
ZONE I*M" OF A PORTION OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.
The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad dc
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the subject property was re-cently annexed to the City
Carlsbad through the initiation of a request by the property owners anc
approval of the City Council of Annexation No. 1.1 and No. 1 D 2; and
WHEREAS, at the time of annexation the reclassification of this p
from PC-R to "M" was discussed and understood by both the Planning C
and the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that since it has been es
through the hearings held for annexation that the subject property is bl
suited for "M" type uses, the Planning Commission recommends the I
fication of this property to "M" Zone as. requested for the following re
1. That the property is located topographically in an excellent lo
for industrial development if the problems of access and improve
are solved.
2. That such a development will not conflict with any ex.isting or
proposed uses of the area.
3. The proximity of the County Airport and the flight pattern lent
support to the development of the property other than residential
residential - agricultural.
4. Property is contiguous to rail facilities.
5. Property is adjacent to the freeway; and
6. There are no drainage difficulties.
AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be for
to the City Council for its consideration in the manner prescribed by
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting oft

by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairman Baumgartner , Commissioners Fennel, Jarvie, St ringe r and Engelmann.
