RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSSAD CITY
PLANNING COMMISSION DENYING RE-
CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY KNOWN
AS THE NORTHWEST 54'OF THE NORTHEAST
165.49 FEET OF LOT 31, SEASIDE LANDS,
FROM ZONE RIP to ZONE %-2.
The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad I
hereby resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on the 26th day
A pril, 1958, an application by John R. Keenan, requesting a change ol
zone classification under the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did on the 2'
of May, 1958, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by 1
consider reclassification from Zone R-P (Residential-Prof-essional) tc
C-2(General Commercial) of that property described as:
the Northwest 54' of the Northeast 165.49 feet of
Lot 31, Seaside Lands, in the City of Carlsbad,
County, of San Diego, State of California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the reclassificati
the above described property be denied, for the following reasons:
a. That the request is contrary to the well established
policy against spot zoning.
b. Due to the lack of appropriate physical conditions.
~ AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be for ' to the City Council for its attention in the manner prescribed by law.

Carlsbad City Planning Commission held on the 27th day of May, 1958,
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairman Baumgartner, Commissioners Fennel, Jarvie,
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Engelmann.
Stringer and Ebright.
