A RESOLUTION OF THE CAilLSBAD CITY
PLANsNING COIt2dISSION GRANTIEG A VARIANCE
OW PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS LOTS
2 AND 3, BLOCK A, PALISADES, IH TRE CITY OF CARLSBAD.

for a variance for reduction of front yard set back from 20 f8
to 10.82 feet; and
VIIBREAS, the Cwlsbad City Planning Commission did publi
a legal notice of hearing on August 28, 1958, of a hearing to
held on September 9, 1958, at 7:30 P*M.; and
WEREAS, at said public hearing the said Planning Comis
received the recommendations , object ions, protests and commen
of all indiviGuals and parties who desired to be heard;
NOVf, TH'EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the variance be
approved as requested for the following reasons:
1, It is more important to have the required yard area
in the back than in the front.
2, St is quite possible that the street may be realign€
which will give these lots the set back required by
Ordinance.
3. As stated in the Ordinance, it would seem discrim-
inatory not to allow them to be in line with nearby
structures who have set a precedence as to front yard
set backs.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of tht
Carlsbad City Planning Commission held on the 9th day of Sepi
1958, by the following vote:
