PLANNING COXNISS ION DENYING RECLASS PI*
CATION OF C.ZXTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD FRGN ZONE X-1 (ONE- FmrLY B$SirxNTI.&) TO 3-3 (MULTIPLE-
FAiiIIiY RESIDENTIAL)
The Carlsbad City Planning Comission of the City of Carlsbad does
hereby resolve as follows :
W3EREAS, there was filed with this Comr~ission on the 1st day of Oc
1959, an application by Archie Koyl 2nd Fawn A. KoyB, requesting a chang
zone classification under the provisions of Ordinance No. 9050; and
WIIEREAS, the Carlsbad City Plann-ing Comissirsn did publish a legal
of hearing on October 29, 1959, of a hearing to be held on Wovernher 10,
at 7:30 P.M.; and
TVlilEREL4S, the Carlsbad CiZy Planning Comission continusd the heari
fron! November 10, 1959, to Cecemher 8, 1959, at 7:30 P.M,; and
X’USIIEAS, %he Carlsbad City Planning Comission continued the hearil
fro= December 8, 1959, to December 22, 1959, at 7:30 P.M.; 2nd
WHEREAS, the Carisbad CiCy Planning Commission did on the 22nd day
December, 1959, hold a duly advertised publie hearing as prescribed by 1,
consider reclassification fron ZQW 2-1 (One-Fanily Xesidential) to Zone
(Multiple-Family Residential), of that property described as:
Property located at the southwesterly
intersection of Toosevelt Street and
Magnolia Avenue between the A.T. & S.F.
Railway and Jefferson Street, nore
particularly described as Tax 8ssessor’s
Parcel 1, Page 133, Sook 35 of the Assessor‘s
Map of Sarr Diego County, aad bcing, a portior,
of Tract 231, Thun Lands, according to Kap
1681 in the City of Carlsbad.
NOW, THEREFCRE, 3E IT RESOLVED, that the reclassification of the al
described property be denied for the following reasons:

piecemeal rezoning and could lead to further development which
