RESOLUTION NO. 157
A RESOLUTION OF THZ CARLSBAC CITY PLANNING COKMISSION
GRAXTING A V!&I,WCE ON 1ROPERTY LEGPLLY DESCRIBED AS
A PORTION OF LOT 12, BLOCK E, BELLA VISTA ACCORDIiG
TO MAP TH3REOF NO. 2152 IN THE CITY OF CARLSBhD.
WHEREAS K. E. EBRIGHT did apply for a Variance for reduction of lot :
from 15,000 sq. ft. to 8,474 sq. ft. and 10,692 SqD ft. to aLlOw a lot SP
on property lying at the south. end of Highland Drive between Hoover and PJ
Streets, said property being more particularly described as a portion of :
12, Block E, Bells Vista according to Map thereof No. 2152 in the City of
Carlsbad and being Tax Assessor's Parcel 14x1, Book 35, Fage 9 Of the Tax
bLssessorFs Map of San Diego County; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Cormnission did publish a legal n
of hearing on April 25, 1960, of a hearing to be held on May 10, 1960, at
7:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did hold a. hearing on
May 10, 1960, at 7:30 PA.; and
WEIEREAS, there were no protests registered by the surrounding proper
owners;
NOW, 'IBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Variance be approved as req
for the following reasons:
1, Both lots created by the lot split would have more than the requi
street frontage.
2. The topographical condition of the land denies the owner adequate
use of a larger rear yard.
3, There are 2 adequate building sites,
4. To deny the request for the variance would be creating a burden
for the property owner for future development of the area.
5, There were no written or oral protests.
PASSED, APPROVED .4NE ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad Ci
Planning. Commission held on the 10th day of May, 1960, by the follotajing v
to wit:
