RESOLUTION NO. 159
A RESOLUTION OF THE CULSBPa CITY
PLANNING CGM4ISSION RECOmENDING
APPROVAL OF TI<E TENTATIVE El" OF
LAGUNA TERUCE SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did receive on May 2,
a tentative map of Laguna Terrace Subdivision, submitted by Briggs Land
Corporation, owner and subdivider, located on the East side of Park Drive,
between Monroe Street and the intersection of Hillside and Park Drive, bo]
on the East by the rear lot lines of the lots on the %est side of Sunnyhi:
Drive, being a portion of Lot I, Rancho kgua Hedionda, according to Map 8:
Miscellaneous Map 231 in the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, on May 24, 1960, the Planning C&ission did consider the tr
map as submitted, comprised of 167 lots; and
m:EREA,s, the Planning Comnission did at that time take into consider:
the reports of the various City agencies and utility companies;
NOIJ, THEBEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the tentative map of L&&UNA TEE&
SUBDIVISION be approved, subject to the following conditions:
1. All domestic water supplied to this subdivision shall cane from tl
l8 11 Carlsbad City Water System.

2. All buildings constructed in this subdivision are to be connected
the public sewer system of the City of Carlsbad.
3. Proper drainage shall be maintained throughout the subdivision so
to prevent ponding and/or storage of surface water,
4. Sewer and water lines shall not be laid in the same trench in any
part of the subdivision.
5. The power and telephone poles shall be located in the streets.
6. The street labeled *'It* street at its intersection with Park Drive
lands not owned by the subdivider and owner. Some arrangements must be ma
open this street as shown.
7, All subdivision streets and improvements for existing rights-of-wE
shall be constructed to the standards of the City of Carlsbad. Eesides th
i usual improvements, an 80' water main shall be installed on @@Ir* street. A1
32 other streets shall have @I water mains.

8. The subdivider shall provide street trees on all streets in the
subdivision.
9, All required street n2ne signs, barricades and safety devices shi

10. Arrangements shall be made for a storm sewer system to prevent e:
atld damage to properties receiving runnoff in this area.

12, Standard S*t fire.hydrants shall be installed at the corner of th
following streets: B & K; A & J; I( & D; E & I; I G H; E S: H; I & B; Also
one (1) standard 6" fire hydrant shall be installed at the property line
between Lots 62 and 63 on VPt Street.
13. The subdivider will furnish the U.S. Post Office, Carlsbad, Cali
with a copy of the final subdivision map.
14. All improvements required of the subdivider to be installed and
dedicated to the City of Carlsbad shall be described in improvement plans
approved by the City Engineer, and no const,ruction shall be commenced unt
such plans are approved.
AND FINALLY RESOLVSD, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
Czrlsbad City Council for its attention in the manner prescribed by 1.31,~~
