A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLBLNNFNG
COMMISSION GRAKTING A V-@I-QiCE ON CERTAIN
DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
DESCRIBED AS A PORTION OF TFWT NO. 2,
LAGUNA MESA TRACTS, ACCORDING TO A MAP THERE-
OF NO, 1719 IN THE CITY OF CARLSBm,
WHEREAS, IVA M. GROBER did apply for a variance for reduction in fron
yard from 20 ft. to 2 ft. and reduction of rear yard from 20 ft. ai0 no re,
yard in order to move the garage to the front of the property on property
located on Jefferson Street between Las Flores Drive and the Freeway, sai
property being mare particularly described as a portion of Tract No. 2,
Laguna Piesa Tracts, according to a Mzp thereof No. 1719 in the City of
Carlsbad
and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did publish a legal no
of hearing on SepGember 29, 1960 of a hearing to be held on October 11, 1
at 7:30 P.m.; and
W"HEREAS, the Carlsbad City I'lanning Commission did hold a hearing on
11, 1940 at 7:30 P.m. and did continue the hearing to the meeting of Octc
25, 1940 at 7:30 2.M.; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the said Planning Commission receivec
recommendations, objections, protests and comments of all individuals anc
parties who desired to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the request for said variance be
to a reduct ion in front yard from 20 ft . to 6 ft . and no reduct ion in rei
and granted for the following reasons:
1, That there are exceptional or extraordinary circumstances or cont
applicable to the property or to the intended use that do not apply
generally to the other property in the same vicinity and zone.
2, That such variznce is necessary for the preservation and enjoymei
of a substantial property right possessed by other property in the sa1
vicinity and zone but which is denied to the property in question
