FLESOLUTION NO1 184 A RESOLUTZON OF THE CAlRLSBAD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION GRANTING A VMUNCE ON PWOPSRI'Y DESCRIBED A!3 LOT 23 GWVILLE PAW, IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ACC-ING TO A MAP THERE- OF NO. 1782. WHEREAS, CLAUD J. AND LOU W. F@@IEL did apply for a variance for reduction of front yard from 20 feet to 11 feet to allw placement of 8 house in line with neighboring buildings on property located on Pacific Street between Hhtain View and Garfield Streets, more particularly described as lot 23, Granville Park, in the City of CarLsbad according to a map thereof No. 1782 in the City of Carlsbad+sand. '.,,.:,.::I WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did publish a legal notice of hearing on October 6, 1960 of a hearing to be held on October 25, 1960 at I 7:30 P.M.; and I ~ ~ WHEREAS, the C.rl8bad City Planning Conmission did hold a hearing on ~ October 25, 1960 at 7:30 P.M.; and WHEREAS, there were no oral or written protests registered by the snrround- ing property owners: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the variance be approved as requested for the following reasons: 1. That such variance is necessary for the preservation and enjoyment 1 4 of a substantial property right possessed by other property in the same 1 i vicinity and zone but which is denied to the property in question. i I 2. That the granting 08 such variance will not be materially detrimental I to the public welfare or injurious to the property or improvements in such vicinity and zone in which the property 2s located. 3, 3. That the granting of such variance will not adversely affect the comprehensive general plan. 4.
