L , ""., 1, . .' 1 2 3 4 1, 5 6 ?I 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 I 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION NO. 235 A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING RECLASSIFICATION FROM R-1 TO ZONES R.3 AND CUI OF CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF GARLSBAD The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 23rd day of January, adopt Resolution of Intention No. 26, to amend Ordinance No. 9060; and WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did on the 13th day of Februar hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by law to consider ar amendment to Ordinance No. 9060 on property described as follows: From Zone R-1 to R-3 Portion of Alles A.vocado Acres Resubdivision, Block B 9 Map No. 20 Book 204, Page 222, parcels 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, and Book 205, Pag parcels 1, 7 and 8 sf the Assessor's Map of San Diego County; Tract Thum Lands, parcels No. 2, 3, 4 and 20, Book 205, Page 270 of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County; and Tract 237, Map 1681 , Thur Book 206 p Page 050, Parcels 4, 5 and 6 of the Assessor's Map of Sa County. From Zone R-1 to C -I The westerly 225' of parcels 1 and portion of 2 'combined, Book 206, 050 of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County having a line drawn p; with and distant 225' perpendicular from the easterly right-of-way lij Pi0 Pic0 Drive and 376' 3.- southerly of Tamarack. The balance of Lot 2 is to be R-3 excepting the 105' westerly and par the westerLy right-of-way of Adams Street which is to remain R-1. and WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has found the following facts t 1. That the granting of this zone reclassification from R-1 to R-3 w( act as a buffer strip between the R-1 and C-1 zone. 2. That it .would enable development to attract tourist traffic off the 101 Freeway into Carlsbad. 3. That such reclassification will not adversely affect the comprehel general plan. 4. That it would be the best usage of the land and would be compatib: surrounding property. 5. That it is advantageous to rezone before other development of SUI 6 ..- - d 1 1 property would make this zoning incompatible. 2 3 4 5 6 7 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said amendment to Ord: No. 9060 is hereby recommended to be approved. .. AND FIN+LLY RESOLVED, that a COPY of this Re,solution be forwar, the City Council for its attention in the manner prescribed by law'.
