RESOLUTION 'NO. 243 - A RESOLUTION'QF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLANNING COMl.VISSI0N RECQMIVIENDDG .FiECLASSIFICATION FROM ZONE R-1 TO ZONE M OF CERTAIN DESIGNA.TED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD.ACCORDING TO PRECISE p The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad doe, resolve as follows: WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on 9th day of April an application by San Diego Gas and Electric Company, a corporation, r ing a change of zone classification under the provisions of Ordinance No and WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did on the 8th d: May, 1962, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by law t consider reclassification from 3-1 (Single Family Residential) to ''M'i(I~ of the property described as: The Westerly 700 feet of the Southerly 400 feet of that certain portio of Lot H of Rancho Agua Hedionda 3 in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to Partition Map thereof No. 823, filed in ti Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, November 16, 1t as conveyed to the Saa Diego Gas & Electric Company by deed dated September 23, 1948 , and recorded October 8 , 1948 , Document No. 100051 , in Book 2974, Page 493, of OfficiaL Records of said County San Diego, lying Easterly of the Easterly right of way line of former State Highway XI-SD-2B (now known as Carlsbad Boulevard); and WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission has found the fo facts to exist: 1. The applicant already has an industrial zoning for the adjacent I 2. It is felt that the precise plans, as amended by Planning Comrni: providing for walls and a park area, would serve as the best buffer zont could be created and still make use of the property. 3. That it would not be more detrimental than if it were zoned comr 4. There would be no appreciable increase in traffic than if this are to be built up as either a commercial or residential area. That emergency gate on Terramar Drive be locked except in cas disaster. 9. That the wall on Terramar Drive be setback 20 feet from proper instead of 15 feet as requested. AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwar the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, for its attention in the manner prescribed by law. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the C; City Planning Commission held on the 8th day of May, 1962, by the follc vote, to wit: AYES: Commissioners Davis y Ewald, Grant y Palmer, Jarvie and V NOES: None ABSENT: None 1
