RESOLUTION NO. 248
A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLANNING
COMMISSION RECOMWNDING RECLASSIFICATION OF
CERTAIN DESIGNATED PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD FROM R-1 TO C-2.
The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad does
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on the 25th day of.J
1962, an application by Francis J, Fox requesting a change of zone clas;
under the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060; and
WHEREAS, the Garlsbad City Planning Commission did on the 22nd c
May, 1962, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by law tc
sider reclassification from Zone R-1 (Single Family Residential) to C-2
Commercial) of the property described as:
Portion of Thum Lands , Tract 238, Map 168 1 and Block C, Thum
Lands, Lots 11 and 12, resubdivision Tracts 238 and 243 in the City
of Carlsbad; being Parcels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Book 206, Page 130,
and Parcel 6, Book 206, Page 112 of Assessor's Map of San Diego
county ;
and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Cornmission has found the fo:
facts to exist:
1. That the property is used as C-2 now under Conditional Use Ordi
2. That it would be in the best interests of public necessity and coni
3. The property is well suited for commercial zoning for future plal
development of the lagoon area.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the reclassification of
described property is hereby recommended to be approved as submitted;
AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarc
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, for its attention in the manner 1
scribed by law.
