A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLAN - NING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENT TO THE CARLSBAD CITY MASTER STREET PLAN 4 5 ,The Carlsbad City Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad does 6 hereby resolve as follows: 7 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 28th day of August, : 8 adopt Resolution of Intention No. 32 to amend the Master Street Plan; an 9 WHEREAS, said Planning Commission did on the 25th day of Septemt 10 amendment to the Master Street Plan as follows: 11 1962, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by law to consj 13 12 1. By deleting the proposed extension of Tamarack Avenue from Pi0 Drive to El Camino Real via Westhaven and Chestnut Avenue as a 14 15 street. 2. By designating Chestnut Avenue from Monroe Street to El Camin' 16 17 as a secondary street with 62' minimum right of way with a 48' p curb to curb roadway width. 18 I/ 3. That Tamarack Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Pi0 Pic0 Dri 19 I/ remain a major street. 20 /I 4. That Tamarack Avenue from-Pio Pic0 Drive to Park Drive, at a 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 approximately 1,100' south of intersection of Park Drive and Mol Street, be designated as a secondary street with 68' right of way 48' paved curb to curb roadway width. AND WHEREAS, said Planning Commission has found the following facts . 1. That it would be most logical to designate Chestnut Avenue from Street to El Camino Real as a secondary street with 62' minimur of way with a 48' paved curb to curb roadway width, since Chestr already is a secondary street from Pi0 Pic0 to Monroe. .~ 2. That it is the most feasible and logical solution to the exten-ion ( 31 32 Tamarack Avenue to have it extend to Park Drive as a secondarJ with 68' right of way with 48' paved curb to curb roadway width. 3. 11 I I! I 3, That this is better planning than extending Tamarack to El Gamir 2 via Westhaven Drive. 3' NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT said amendment to G 4 City Master Street Plan is hereby recommended to be approved. 5 AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwar 6 the City Council for its attention in the manner prescribed by Law. 7 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the PI .. 8 1 to wit: 9 Commission held on the 25th day of September, 1962, by the following v 10 11 12 13 14 15 I ,I AYES: Commissioners Davis , Ward, Grant, Ewald, Paher, Jarvi Sonneman.
