5 The Carlsbad City Planning Cornmission of the City of Carlsbad does
COMlVLlSSION DENYING RECLASSFICATION OF CERTAIN
STATE OF CALIFORNIA FROM R-1 TO R-3 AND M.

7 WHEREAS, there was filed with this Commission on the 5th day of

February, 1964 , an application by W. D. Cannon requesting a change of
classification under the provisions of Ordinance No? q060; aad
10 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did on the 25th d

February, 1964, hold a duly advertised public hearing as prescribed by

A strip of land I. 00 feet wide in that portion of Lot "H", Rancho Agua
Hedionda, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of
California, according to Map thereof No. 823 fiLed in the office of the Recorder of said County and lying adjacent to and parallel with
the Northeasterly right of way of El Arbol Drive as said Drive is
shown on Terramar Unit No, 3, according to Map thereof No. 2867,
filed in the Office of the Recorder of said County; said 100 foot strip
being terminated on the Southeasterly boundary of Record Survey Ma, No. 1806, as said map is filed in the Office of the Recorder of said
County; and also being terminated at the Southeasterly right of way
of Cannon Road 60 feet wide, as said road is shown on precise plan o the City of Carlsbad Engineering Department Drawing No. 136-10,
Project No. 2-28; containing therein 2.3 acres; and

Hedionda, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of
California, according to map thereof No. 823 f2ed in the office of
the recorder of said County and lying adjacent to and parallel to the
Southwesterly boundary of the A.T. & S.F. R.R. right of way as said
railroad is shown on Record of Survey Map No. 1806, filed in the Off
of the Recorder of said County; the Southeasterly boundary of said 20
foot strip of land being terminated at the Southeasterly boundary of
Record of Survey Map No. 1806 as said Map is filed in the Office of
the Recorder of said County; and also being terminated at the South-
easterly right of way of Cannon Road 60 feet wide, as said road is
shown on pr-ecise plan of the City of Carlsbad Engineering Departmen
Drawing No. 136-10, Project No. 2-28; including 42 feet of A.T. & S.
right of way adjacent to and parallel with above described parcel; con

parties who desired to be heard;
1. That it is a nkce residential neighborhood.
2. That the applicant has sold many homes to these people and pror
a recreational park on this property.
3. That there were many citizens protesting this reclassification.
4. That Daniel, Mann, Johnscn and Mendenhall will be bringing in
on the Master Plan and will have recommendations for zoning.
5. That this reclassification would be detrimental to the surroundir
property.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Planning Commission held on the 25th day of February, 1
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Davis, Ward, Grant, Palmer, Jarvie, Lam
and Sonneman.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
