A RESOLUTION RECOPJ2dZXdDING TO COUNCIL CHANGE OF ZONE

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060, the Planning
Commission did on March 24, 1964 , hold a duly r,d.ced public
hearing to consider the (application of Melvin 3'. Lull, et a1 1

of zone from R -2 to R -3 on real property in
the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, commonly
known as Garfield Street and Chinquapin Avenue "
and more particularly as:
Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, in Block1 of Palisades, Map 1747 in the Cit)
of Carlsbad, County of San Diego , State of California; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the
testimony and arguments, if any, of a11 persons who desired to be heard,
said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist which
make the (approvaleof the application for change of zone necessary
to carry out the provisions and general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060:
1. That there is already considerable R-3 in the area.
2. That the tendency has been to recognize the need for R-3 in the are
