AT SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER OF CHESTNUT AND MONROE ST3
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060, the Planning
Commission did on April 14, 1964, hold a duly noticed public
hearing to consider the application of Jay Lear, Incorporated
for a variance for the purpose of reduction in the required front yard setb;
from 20' to 15'
on real property in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of
California, commonly known as Southwesterly corner of Chestnut and Mon~
and more particularly as:
Lots 5 , 6, 7 and 8 of approved tentative map of Monroe Park Subdivision,
being a portion of Tract 205, Thum Lands, Map 168 1, as adopted by the
City Council Resolution No. 996, March 3, 1964, in the City of Carlsbad.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the
testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard,
said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist which
make the (grantingfi-of a variance necessary to carry out the provi:
and general purpose of Qrdinance No. 9060:
1. That the variance is proper and the fact they are lots facing around
a cul-de-sac makes them irregular lots deserving special consideration.
2. That there were no objections.

NOW, THEREFOR E, BE IT RESOLVED by the PlwmjDg Coi"niSSi0n of
the City of Caylabad that it d.oes hereby (grant- a V3.::i?.xiCe On said
property for the puryosr: of reduction in the required front yard setback
from 20' to 15'
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the CarEk+al
City Planning Commission held on the l4th day of April 1:
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: COmmissioners Davis, Ward, Grant, Palmer, Jarvie and Lam?
NOES: None.
