WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060, the Planning - zm ON nT Easterly.side of Eureka Place; Commission did on May 12 9 1964 , hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the ~xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/ Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission No. 45) for a change of zone from R-1 to R -3 on real property in the City of CarLsbad, County of San Diego, State of Caiifornia , commonly known as Easterly side of Eureka Place; on the Northerly side of Chestnut Ave. , and on tne mummy slue of Basswood, between Eureka and Adams Si and more particuiarly as: The westerly 75 feet of Lot 6 , all of Lots 7 , 8, 9 and 10 of Optima Tract, Map No. 1805; the southerly 35 feet of Lot 22, all of Lots 23 , 24 and the northerly 25 feet of Lot 25, the southerly 25 feet of Lot 26, and all of Lot 27 of Optimo Tract No. 2 9 Map No. 21 51; the west 12.45 feet of the North 200 feet of Block No. 2, Mulls Addition, Map No. 514 and 60 feet street closed adjacent westerly thereof in the City of Carlsbal being Parcels 2 , 3 9 4? 6 and 12 of Book 205 , Page 102 , and Parcels 4, 5 6, 7, 8, 9 and 17 of Book 205, Page 112 of the Assessor’s Map of San Dil C o unty ; WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the testimony and arguments, if any, of ail persons who desired to be heard, said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist which make the (approval/d& of the application for change of zone necessary to carry out the provisions and general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060: 1. That this property is very near to a busy freeway which by 1972 will be expanded to eight lanes. 2. That there will be considerable noise and traffic on this road which will not be the most compatible with R- 1. 3. That it will be an extension of R-3 property eastward and adjacent tc existing R -3 property. 4. That property to the west of the land under consideration is already zoned R-3 and adopted as a park, and there are tentative plans €hat a libztz will be built on this property. 5. That both a library and a park generate traffic. 6. That there were 14 peopie within 300’ in favor and 3 opposed. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlst City Planning Commission held on the 12th day of May s by the following vote, to wit: AYES: COMMISSIONERS WARD, GRANT AND PALMER.
