A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO COUNCIL CHANGE OF ZONE

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060, the Plannin
Commission did on June 9, 1964 hold a duly noticed public
hearing to consider the (application of MARY C. YOUNG and LAURA C. Bo1

of zone from R -3 to c-2 on real property in
the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, commonly
known as the northerly side of Cedar Avenue between Carlsbad Boulevard
and Washindon Street, and more pZrticularly-as:
All that portion of Block 5 in Carlsbad, City of Carlsbad, County of Sar:
Diego, State of California, according to the ammended map thereof #77
filed in the office of the County Recorder February 15, 1894, describe(
follows: Beginning at a point on the Southwesterly line of Block 5 whick
100 feet Nozfhwesterly from the most Southerly corner of said Block 5
running thence Northwesterly along said Southwesterly line a distande c
100 feet to a point; thence Northeasterly at right angles to said Southwe
line of Block 5 for a distance of 215 feet more or less to the Northwest corner of the portion of said Block 5, conveyed by C. B. Brenneman to
Helen R. Knowles by deed dated February 17, 1899, and recorded in Bc
276, Page 200; thence Southeasterly along the Southwesterly line of saic
land conveyed to Knowles for a distance of 200 feet to the Southeasterly
line of Block 5; thence Southwesterly along said Southeasterly line of SE
Block 100 feet to a point; thence Northwesterly at right angles to the
Southeasterly 100 feet; thence Southwesterly 115 feet to the point of
be ginning.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the
testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard,
said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist which
make the (approval/of the application for change of zone necessarl
to carry out the provisions and general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060:
1. That it is compatible with zoning in the area.
2. That it is in an area where there is a similar development for
attracting tourists to the City.
3. That it is an economically feasible zone change.
4. That there was no opposition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of
the City of Carlsbad that it does hereby (recommend to the City Council
the adoption of an amendment to Ordinance No. 9060 changing the zone fro
R-3 tu x-

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsb
City Planning Commission held on the 9th day of June D
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners McCarthy, Ward, Grant, Paher, Lamb and McComas .
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Sutherland.
