HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-07-28; Planning Commission; Resolution 362It -I 4 2 3 4 4 e PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 362 A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO CITY COUNCIL DENIAL OF CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-1 TO R-P OF PROPERTY FRONTING ON ARBUCKLE PLACE, EXCEPTING PROPERTY AT SOUTHWEST CORNER OF JEFFERSON STREET AND ARBUC PLACE AND RECOMMENDING CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-1 TC QF PROPERTY AT SOUTHWEST GVRNER OF JEFFERSON 5TRE AND ARBUCKLE PLACE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060, the Plan ommission did on July 14, 1964, asld July 28, 1964, hold a duly noticed PI earing to consider Planning Commission Resolution of Intention No. 50 €0. hange of zone from R-1 to R-P on real property in the City of Carlsbad, f San Diego, State of California, commonly known as all property located rbuckle Place between Jefferson and Madison Street, and more particula, 12 /klescribed as: 13 3.4 25 16 17 18 19 20 21 The Southeasterly 241 feet of that portion of Lot 47 of Seasi.de Lands, . the City of Carlsbad, Gounty of San Diego, State of California accordin map thereof No. 1722, filed in the office of the County Recorder of sai County, July 28, 1921, described as follows: Beginning at the most easterly corner of said Lot 47; thence South 55O West along the SoutheasterLy line of said lot 301.53 feet more or less t a point on the easterly r$ht of way line of Madison Street; thence Nort along said line North 34 33' West 120.50 feet to a point on the centerli Arbuckle Place; thence Westerly along said centerline South 55'27' We 20.00 feet to a point on the cester line of said Madison Street;thence N along said centerli8.e North 34 33' West 120.50 feet; thence at right an Easterly North 55 27' East 321.53 feet more or less to a point on the erly rigbt of way line of Jefferson Street; thence Southerly along said 1 South 34 33' East 241.00 feet to the point of beginning; being Parcels 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of Book203, Page 110 oft Assessor's Map of San Diego County; WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the tc d arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard, said Comr find the following facts and reasons to exist which make the denial of t posed change of zone of all of the above described property necessary the provisions and general purpose of Ordinance No, 9060: 1. That Arbuckle Place needs to be widened and there is no indicatior perty owners other than Mr. Baird will grant additional street width, epting for that requirement this whole R-1 area is an island surrounde on the North and on the South.
