A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE ON 'PROPERTY AT THE EASTERLV SIDE of STATE STREET BETWEEN ELM' 'AND. GRAND .AVENUES. ...... .. ..... .. .
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 9060
Planning Commission did on December 22, 1964; hold a duly noti1
public hearing to consider the application of ASEL GARCIA fsr
variance for the purposerof considering a reduction in the req
number sf parking spaces from' 32 .to 20 spacesg on real propert,
the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California
commonly known as the Easterly side of State Street, between E'
Grand Avenues, and more particularly as:

Lots 5, 6 and Southeasterly 18 feet of Lot 7; Northeaster' 7 feet of Lot 7, and Lot 8, Block 34, Map No. 535, Town 0- Carlsbad; being Assessor's Parcels'3 and 4,. Book 2'03, Pagc of the Assessor's Map of San Diego County;
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considel
testimony and. arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to
heard, said Commission did find the following facts and reason:
exist which make the, granting of a variance necessary to carry
the provisions and, general purpose of Ordinance No. 9060:
1. That the reduction of parking spaces from. 32 to 20 Spi
in the opinion of the Planning Commission will be adequate to
accommodate the businesses proposed.
2. That the improvements to the property represent an imy
ment to the State Street Block.
3. That the granting of such variance will not be materiz

4. That the granting of such variance will not adversely
affect the comprehensive general plan.

5. That there are special circumstances existing in that
an old neighborhood with a peculiar arrangement of buildings ar
proposed variance had the concurrence of the City Epgineering
Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV’ED by the Planning Commission
the City of Carlsbad that it does hereby,grant a variance on sI
property for the purpose of reduction in the required number 01
8 parking spaces from’ 32 to 20 spaces, on the following conditio!
