CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING TO CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF LAND US
AMENDMENT NO. 2, AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF
THE GENERAL PLAN

1. It is necessary for the public welfare;
2. The addition of Land Use Amendment No. 2 is essential fo.
General Plan to be comprehensive and effkctive;
3. It permits the utilization of newly adopted, density typc
zoning ordinances.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Amendment to Thc
General Plan, by adding Land Use Amendment No. 2, is hereby
recommended to be approved, provided this Amendment considers
Residential land use only and does not restrict the possibili;
desirable commercial or complimentary uses.
AND FINALLY RESOLVEDf that a copy of this resolution be
forwarded to the City Council for its attention in the manner
prescribed by law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Planning Commission <
City of Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on August 25, 1970,
the following vote, to wit:
