HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-11-28; Planning Commission; Resolution 830- r .ir -. 0 * il PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 830 - 1 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD CITY PLANNING COMMISSION PLAN AND TENTATIVE MAP FOR CARLSBAD TRACT NO. 72-24, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUFKIL APPROVAL OF A SPECIFIC SPANISH VILLAGE. 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 rl 39 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 I I 1, WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Planning Commission did receive on November 28, 1972 a Specific Plan and Tentative Map to be known as Carlsbad Tract 72-24, submitted by LA COSTA LAND COMPANY, owner and subdivider, OR property located South of Levante Street, West of Anillo ' and more particularly described as: Portion of Section 36, Township 12 South, Range 4 West, San Bernardino Meridan, City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, Stsate of California. WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desire to be heard, said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to exist which make the approval of a Tentative Map and Specific Plan necessary to carry out the provisions and general purpose of Title 21: REASONS FOR APPROVAL 1. The proposed development will be compatible with surrounding propert 2. The proposed development meets the requirements of the City of Carls Subdivision Ordinance 9050. 3. The proposed development is in conformance with the La Costa Master Plan, City of Carlsbad Ordinance 9322. 4. The proposed development has satisfied the requirements of the Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972 (Ord. 1150. CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL: 1. Development of proposed neighborhood park shall be in conformance wi Park development criteria as defined in La Costa Master Plan. 2. Improvement plans shall conform to the City of Carlsbad Engineering Design Criteria and Standard Plans. 3. Improvement plans for water and sewer systems shall be approved by t respective service districts. All cut and fill slopes shall be rounded as approved by the City Engineer prior to the issuance of building permits. 5. The applicant shall be required to enter into a Future Improvement Agreement to install a fully actuated traffic signal at the intersectior Levante Street and El Camino Real, at such time as the City Engineer and traffic flow require same. 6. The intersection of Levante Street and Ani110 Way will accommodate 2 transition from four-lane traffic .to two-lane traffic. 7. Lot No. 87 shall have driveway access onto “A” Street. 8. The minimum street widths as shown in the Tentative Map are not appr Minimum curb to curb street width on a cul-de-sac shall be 36 feet. On all other streets, including through streets, minimum curb to curb width shall be 40 feet. 9. Street lighting on Leva.nte Street shall be placed on both sides of the street in a pattern approved by the City Engineer. 10. That all condit-i.ons .of the La Costa Master Plan, Ordinance No. 9322 approved by the City, shall be complied with. 11.Fire Hydrants and fire protection appurtenances shall be constructed in accordance with Fire Department requirements. 12. Provisions for cable T.V. shall be made per La.Costa Master Plan. 13. Minimum lot size shall be 7500 sq. ft. AND FINALLY RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded t the City Council of the City of Carlsbad for its attention in the manner prescribed by law. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad Planning Commission held on the 28th day of November, 1972, by the follo vote, to wit: AYES : Commissioners Forman, Norman, Jose, Dominguez, Dewhurs NOES : None ABSENT: Commissioner Palmateer
