HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-12-12; Planning Commission; Resolution 8607.. - x " ! 0 e li PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 860 3 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL AN AMENDMENT TO TITLE 5, SECTION 5.24.145 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING TRAILERS. 41 MHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Title 5 of the Carlsbad 5 1 to Title 5, Section 5.24.145. '? hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider the following amendment 6 Municipal Code, the Planning Commission did on December 12, 1972, 8 SECTION 5.24.145 - Location of Trailers Outside of Auto and 9 Trailer Park. 10 11 12 13 14 15 It is unlawful within the limits of the city for any person to park an automobile trailer, trailer coach or trailer on the premises of any occupied dwelling or on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwelling, which lot or premises are situated outside of any authorized automobile trailer park, ex- cepting the parking of only one unoccupied trailer in an accessory building, private garage or in a rear yard in any zoning district, is permitted; provided, that no living quarters shall be maintained or any business practiced in the trailer when such trailer is so parked or stored. 16 17 TO BE REVISED TO READ: Section 5.24.145 - Location of Trailers Outside of Auto and Trailer Park 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 I It is unlawful within the limits of the City for any persol to park an automobile trailer, trailer coach or trailer on the premises of any occupied dwell ing or on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwellis which lot or premises are situated outside of any authorizl automobile trailer park, except as follows: 1. One trailer may be parked in an accessory building, private garage, or in a rear yard in any zoning district, provided, that no living quarters shall be maintained or any business practiced in the trailer when such trailer is so parked or stored and; ~ I ~ 25 26 27 2. A trailer may be parked on the subject premises when utilized for the purposes of a watchman's unit with the approval of the City Manager, provided that the trailer is not used as a primary place of residence and that utilities meet the standards of the County Health Departme] 28 provisions and general purpose of Title 5 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code 32 adoption of an amendment to Section 5.24.145 necessary to carry out the 31 said Commission did find the following reason to exist which makes the 30 testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard, 29 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the I/ -1 - ,“’k.. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, that it does hereby recommend to the City Council the adoption of an Amendment to Title 5 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code. AND FINALLY RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the City Council for its attention in the manner pre- scribed by law. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Planning Commission held on the 12th day of December, 1972, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Commissioners Forman, Norman, Dewhurst, Little and Jose.
