TO.THE CITY COUNCIL: APPROVAL OF A PRE-ANNEXATIONAL CHANGE OF INDUST-RIAL) ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT OF THE INTERSECTION OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD AND EL CAMINO REAL. (PALOMAR AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK-CABOT,CABOT&FORBE WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsba 7 to City of Carlsbad zoning P-M (Planned Industrial) on apprc 9 a request for a pre-annexational change of zone from A-1-8 ( 8 hold a duly noticed Public Hearing on October 30, 1973 to cc 10 337.15 acres of land generally located in the southwest quac 11 the intersection of Palomar Airport Road and El Camino Real, 12 more particularly described as: 13 14 15 16 All that portion of Lot "G" of Rancho Agua Hediond in the County of San Diego, State of California, a to Map thereof No. 823, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said County November 16, 1896. The application of the C-2 Zone desig would also permit a far greater range of uses than woul compatible with existing or proposed uses in the area. P-M Zone designation allows the uses proposed by the ap hotel, motel, restaurant, service station and banking f lities, by a Conditional Use Permit, as long as the use considered for the convenience of the occupants of the Zone. The proximity of the property to two major critic, streets does make the property conducive to industrial devel opment. 4. The development of a large parcel for industrial results in a logical, planned facility that would be a' to the geographical center of the City and Would also compatible to the major influence in the area which is airport.
