A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUN%IL ADOPTION OF LAND USE AMENDMENT NO. 13 TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CASE NO. GPA-27
4 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad

consider an amendment to the General Plan as follows: Adopting '7

17 WHEREAS, at said hearings, upon having and considering 1

acres as shown on Exhibit A revised, necessary to carry out tht 21
exist which make said amendment if limited to a total of 186.91 20
said Commission did find the following facts and reasons to 19

1. The site is proximate to the concentration of plannc industrial uses along the Palomar Airport Corridor.
2. The site is impacted by crash hazard from Palomar A. and as such would be inappropriate for residential uses.
3. The site is in an area that is subject to a limited hazard of air traffic accidents, which would make i. undesirable for medium density residential or other uses which would tend to concentrate populations in si ngl e areas.
4. The site is accessed by a prime major arterial whici is capable of accommodating traffic generated by an dustrial use.
5. The site is topographically separated from the pote residential area to the north. The physical orient'

of the property is toward adjacent planned industria uses. The proposed green belt area which is located just to the north of the site will further ease the transition from residential to planned industria?.
WHEREAS, said amendment has complied with the requiremen

held by the Planning Commission on April 9th and 23rd, 1974 and 8
has been prepared and discussed at a duly noticed public hearin 7
