"_ -0. .. . . . - - - 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO THE'.CITY COUNCIL ITS APPROVAL OF A CHANGE OF ZONE ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD BETWEEN EL CAMINO REAL AND RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD, CONSISTING OF64-0 ACRES. PROPERTY TO BE REZONED FROM R-A-10 (CITY.) AND A-1-8 (COUNTY) TO P-C (PLANNED COMMUNITY) AND P-M (PLANNED INDUSTRIAL) TO BE KNOWN AS VALLE VERDE. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on June 11, 1974, hc a duly noticed Public Hearing to consider the change of zone from R-A-10 (City) and A-1-8 (County) to P-C (Planned Communi for 451) 2cres and P-M (.Planned Industrial) for 187 acres shown on Exhibit revised 5-6-74, of real property located on the North Side of Palomar Airp Road between El Camino Real and Rancho Santa Fe Road, more particularly described as : All that portion of Lot B of Rancho Agua Hedionda in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof #823 on file in the office of the City Recorder and further described on file in Carlsbad Planning Department. WHEREAS, as required by "City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972" a Final Environmental Impact Re was prepared and presented to Staff. It was the determinatio of Staff that this development "may have a significant impact upon the environment: and; WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report was preset ed to the Planning Commission at their regular meeting of Junc 1974, and the Commission does recommend certification of the E.I.R. as amended, and; WHEREAS, at a duly advertised public hearing held on the 11th day of June, 1974, after hearing and considering the testimony and arguments of any and all persons wishing to be heard, the Planning Commission did find the following facts a reasons to exist.which make the approval of a zone change necessary to carry out the provisions and general purpose of 21 : d’- ll . ” a e 1 2 3 4 (1) The P-M Zone is appropriate because of the property’ proximity to Palomar Airport and other industrial a) (2) The P-C Zone is warranted because it allows the flexibility to modify residential densities and cluster units in order to protect environmentally sensitive areas. 5 NOW, THEREFOREy BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commissior 6 (Planned Community), as shown on Exhibit C revised 5-6-74. 9 and A-1-8 (County) to P-M (Planned Industrial) and P-C 8 the City Council of the proposed change of zone from R-A-10 (C 7 the City of Carlsbad, that it does hereby recommend approval t 10 PASSED APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting held on 11 Commission, by the following vote, to wit; 12 the 11th day of June, 1974 by the Carlsbad City Planning 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 AYES : Commissioners Little, Casler, Jose, Barrett Forman and Wrench NOES: None ABSENT: Dominquez I { ” ,( 4, ?! : i/- ;/ !&’ ,.., d-”? ;L/+&Lk+- MARY CAS”LER Chairman 21 22 23 ATTEST: 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 DONALD A AGATfaJ Secretary -2- 11
