PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1194
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CONCERNING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A TEN RIDE CARNIVAL AND HAUNTED HOUSE FROM OCTOBER 17 TO OCTOBER 25, 1975 ON PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF THE PLAZA CAMINO REAL SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT.

C) That in view of the findings heretofore made and considering the applicable law, the decision of the Planning Commission is to appro Case No. CUP-111, subject to the following conditions:
(1) The Conditional Use Permit is granted for the land as describe in the application and on Plot Plan, Exhibit A.
(2) Before commencement of the activity, the Carlsbad Police Depar ment must approve all aspects of the project it feels necessar to ensure public safety.
(3) Before commencement of the project, all proposed activities shall be subject to review and approval of the City Fire Marsh
(4) No damage to the paved surface of the parking lot such as brea warpage or punctures will occur from any of the proposed activ
(5) Trash facilities wi 11 be located off the paved surface of the parking 1 ot .
(6) Site maintenance for the activity shall be subject to review a approval of the City Public Works Administrator prior to comme ment of the project.
(7) Amusement rides must have a certificate of approval by the Department of Industrial Safety, and must be inspected by the Fire Department prior to opening.
(8) No signs or advertising of any type whatsoever shall be erecte or installed until plans for such have been approved by the Ci Carl s bad.
(9) A temporary "detour ahead" sign shall be placed on the wester1 perimeter road 200 feet north of the detour intersection to caution southbound drivers on the mandatory left turn. A "det sign visible to southbound drivers shall be mounted on the bar cade at this intersection.
(10) Proof of liability insurance will be required for the project, subject to approval of the City Manager.
(11) This Conditional Use Permit is granted for the dates October 1 to October 25, 1975.

(14) Restoration of the site and dismantling of equipment will be . accomplished October 26.
(15) This Conditional Use Permit is granted to the 1st .Baptist Chu of Oceanside only, and is not assignable to others.

5 State of California, City of Carlsbad and any other appl icabl governmental entity shall be complied with.
