PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1229 "
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING CO,?IMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, CONCERNING THE GENERAL PLAN CON-
FORMITY OF A PROJECT TO RESURFACE VARIOUS CITY STREETS.
WHEREAS, Section 65402 of the California Government Code
requires that prior to constructing any public structure or bui
ing, the Planning Commission must report on the conformity of s
construction with the City's adopted General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted plans to the Pla
Commission for the resurfacing of various City streets for a re
on General Plan conformity; and
WHEREAS, the project has complied with the requirements 0:
the Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972; and
WHEREAS, the adopted General Plan states that residents SI
be provided with essential public facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Circulation Element of the General Plan statc
that streets are an integral part of the City's circulation sys.
and should be maintained for optimum levels of safety and convel
ience; and
WHEREAS, the proposed street resurfacing will maintain thc
quality of the streets;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission
the City of Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That the proposed street resurfacing is consistent wit1
the Carlsbad General Plan.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the (
of Carlsbad Planning Commission held on 3/31/76 , by the
following vote, to wit:
