PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1324
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN. CASE NO. : GPA-43 ( 3) APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, as shown on tt-
attached map, has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to tk
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided
by Title 21 of the "Carlsbad Municipal Code;" and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was held at the time and in the place SF
fied in the public notice on February 9, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has complied with the requirements of the Cit
of Carlsbad's Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972 because:
a) A Negative Declaration of Nonsignificant Environmental Impact has
been issued for the following reason:
1) The area has been dedicated to the City of Carl sbad for park purposes.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the te
mony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard, said
Commission considered all factors relating to the General Plan Amendment i
found the following facts and reasons to exist:
~ 1) The Land Use designation on approximately seven (7) acres of lam
has been changed from RM (Medium Density Residential) to OS
the City of Carlsbad,
I the southwest intersection of Cannon Road and the A.T. & S.F. Ra
~ (Open Space) because of the recent dedication of the property to

2) This Land Use Amendment is basically administrative and will havc insignificant impact on the environment.
3) The changes in GPA-43(3) wi 11 not adversely affect adjoining properties.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the
Ci ty of Carl sbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That in view of the findings heretofore made and considering the applicable law, the decision of the Planning Commission is to approvc an Amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan (GPA-43(3)) as shown on Exhibit "A", dated January 12, 1977.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City of Car
Planning Commission held on February 9, 1977, by the following vote, to 1
AYES : Commissioners Larson, L'Heureux, Watson, Fikes, Rombotis and Jose.
NOES: None.
ABSENT : Commissioner Nelson.
ABSTAIN: None. 1 LARS N, CHAIRMAN
