PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1326
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN.
CASE NO. : GPA-43 (5) APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD

WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, as shown on th
attached map, has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to tt-
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as providec
by Title 21 of the "Carlsbad Municipal Code;" and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was held at the time and in the place
specified in the public notice on February 9, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has compl ied with the requirements of the Cil
of Carlsbad's Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972 because:
a) A Negative Declaration of Nonsignificant Environmental Impact has been issued for the following reason:
1) The Amendment was necessary to make an administrative change for consistency .
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering the
testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons who desired to be heard,
Commission considered all factors relating to the General Plan Amendment
found the following facts and reasons to exist:
1 ) Approximately three (3) acres of land south of Camino de l.as On( and east of Paseo del Norte have been changed from G (Governmen, Facilities) to OS (Open Space) because the feasibility of locat. fire station at this location is now being questioned and the tr of the Land Use Element has been modified to provide for these of uses without General Plan designation.
2) This Land Use Amendment is basically administrative and will ha, an insignificant impact on the environment.
3) The changes in GPA-43(5) will not adversely affect adjoining properties. xxxxxxxxxx

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commission of the Cit
of Catlsbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That in view of the findings heretofore made and considering the applicable law, the decision of the Planning Commission is to approv an Amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan (GPA-43( 5) as shown on Exhibit "A", dated January 12, 1977.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City of
Carlsbad Planning Comission held on February 9, 1977, by the following v
to wit:
AYES : Commissioners Larson, L'Heureux, Watson, Fikes, Rombotis
and Jose.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Commissioner Nelson.
ABSTAIN : None. 1 E C LARS0 , CHAIRMAN
