PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1390
RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
ING OF GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY FOR THE TRANSFER OF LAND TO BE USED AS A MUNICIPAL SWIMMING POOL. CASE NO: PCD-2(B) APPLICANT : CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, MAKING A FIND-
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Unified School District intends to
transfer certain property to the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the State Law requires the Planning Commission
the effective jurisdiction to make a finding of General Plan
consistency for any such transfer of lands; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Unified School District has reques
the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad to make such
determination; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered said request
at their meeting of July 27, 1977.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commissio
of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That the transfer of property as shown on the attached Exhibit "B" for the purpose of developing and maintaining
a Municipal Swimming Pool is consistent with the adopted
General Plan of the City of Carlsbad for the following
reasons:
1) The site of the proposed swimming pool is designated
H (High School) on the Land Use Element of the Genera
Plan, and the swimming pool will be a joint operation
with the school district.
2) The proposed use is provided for within the Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan.
3) The transfer of land will have no effect on any other element of the General Plan.

City of Carlsbad Planning Commission held on July 27, 1977 by
the following vote to wit:
AYES : Commissioners' Larson, Rombotis, L'Heureux, Watson, Fikes, Jose, Woodward.
NOES : None.
ABSENT : None.
