HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-10-05; Planning Commission; Resolution 1409m /I m 0 1 2 3 4 5 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1409 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, SETTING FORTH ITS FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS RELATIVE TO AMENDING TITLE 21 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING CHAPTERS 21.04 AND 21.42 TO PROVIDE FOR PRIVATE SENIOR HOUSING. CASE NO.: ZCA-85 APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD 6 7 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad 8 to conduct a public hearing to consider a Zone Code Amendment 9 adopt Resolution of Intention No. 159 declaring its intention lo 11 amending Title 21 of the Municipal Code by amending Chapters 12 21.04 and 21.42 - to provide for private senior housing; and 14 from those persons interested in and opposed to, if any, the 13 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission received all testimony proposed Zone Code Amendment; and 15 16 facts and reasons to be present which in their opinion are 17 necessary to carry out the general purpose of Title 21 of the 18 Municipal Code: WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did find the following 19 I method to lower housing costs for Senior Housing. (1) The existing Zone Code does not contain a 20 21 22 23 24 (2) This amendment is in compliance with the General Pla because a goal of the Housing Element is "that all residents of Carlsbad have access to adequate housin within a price range they can afford". (3) A Negative Declaration was filed indicating that the permitting of private senior housing will have no adverse affect on the environment as per the Environmental Protection Act of 1972. 25 11 //////// 26 27 //////// //I///// 28 * % ll il) 0 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Planning Commissio 2 3 4 5 as per Exhibit "E", dated October 18, 1977, attached hereto. 6 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the 7 Carlsbad City Planning Commission held on October 5, 1977, by 8 the following vote, to wit: 9 of the City of Carlsbad that it does recommend approval to the City Council of an amendment to Title 21 of the Municipal Code by the addition of 21.04 and 21.42 - Private Senior Housing AYES: Commissioners Rombotis, Larson, L'Heureux, Fikes, Jose, Woodward. 10 11 12 NOES: None.
