CASE NO. ZCA-87 APPLICANT: City of Carlsbad 6 7 8 9 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Council directed the Planning Conmission tc lo Amendment and found the following facts and reasons to exist: l8 heard, said Conmission considered all factors relating to the Zone Code l7 the testimny and argummts, if any, of all persons who desired to be l6 15 the subject amendment; and l4 as prescribed by law on June 8, June 14 , and June 28 , 1978, to consider l3 12 defhition of "lot width" for reversed, pie-shaped lots; and I' conduct a public hearing to consider a Zone code Amendment pertaining to tl 19 20 21 22 I 2. The Planning Comnission has the authority under Section 21.46 .OC WHEREAS, the Planning Carmission did hold a duly noticed Public Heari WHEREAS, as a result of said hearings, upn hearing and considering 1. The change will promte the implemntation of the General Plan giving flexibility in design to meet varied circumstances. 27 I/ // 28 // -1- w w 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREE3Y RESOLVED, by the Planning Conmission of tl 2 21.03.265 to read as follows: * mendnent to Title 21, Chapter 21.04, of the Carlsbad Municipal Code, Sectil 3 City of Carlsbad, that it does recormend approval to the City Council of an 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 "21.04.265 Ut Width. "Lot Width" means the brizontal distance of the line constituting the required front yard setback, as required in certain zone classifications. For those zone classi- fications witbut required front yards, the lot width is the horizonta distance between the side lot lines measured at right angles to a line camprising the depth of the lot at a point midway between the front and rear lot lines. All lots located on the inside of a curve of a public street wkbose rear property line is at least twenty (20) feet less in length than the front property line shall have their lot width calculated, for the purpose of cmputing required sideyard setbacks, using the average width.o€ the"1ot."
