A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING CO?OIISSION OF TEE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A ZONE CODE AMENDMENT TO TITLE 21,
CHAPTER 21.36 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY
THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 21.36.050 TO PROVIDE
FOR CERTAIN REGULATIONS FOR WATER 3ECLAPIATION
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
CASE NO: ZCA-122
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 9th day of
April, 1980, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribec
by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and consic
all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring
to be heard, said Commission considered all factors relating
the Zone Code Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning
Commission as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearj
the Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZCA-122, based on
the following findings:
Findings
1) This amendment will allow the city to regulate the use
of reclaimed water as part of the approval of the waste
water treatment plants and the subsequent distribution c
reclaimed waste water in the city limits.
2) This amendment is a step in the city's effort to develor
a comprehensive regulation of satellite sewage treatment
facilities and reclaimed water in the city.
3) The amendment is consistent with past city actions
regarding wastewater reclamation.
4) The amendment will help in the city's efforts to conserL
natural resources of water and energy.
5) This project will not cause any significant environmentz
impacts, and a Declaration of Negative Environmental Imy

hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: That Title 21, Chapter 2.1.3G, Section 21
of the Carlsbad Nunicipal Code is amended by the addi-ticm
Subsection (3.21 'to read as follor.7~:
