PLANNING .COMMISSXON 'RESOLUTION NO. 1642
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A ZONE CODE AMENDMENT, AMENDING
TITLE 21, CHAPTER 21.49 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
CODE BY THE AMENDMENT OF SECTION 21.49.020 TO ALLOW THE PROCESSING OF DEVELOPMENTAL APPROVALS
SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS IF THE CITY COUNCIL
CURRENT WITH NEED. APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD

FINDS THAT SEWER SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE CON-
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 28th day of
1980, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law
consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and consid
all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring
heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to the
~ code Amendment. I
I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Co:
nission as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
~ B) That based on the evidence presented at the public heari
the Commission recommends' APPROVAL of ZCA-126, according Exhibit "A" dated 5/16/80, attached hereto and made a pa hereof, based on the following findings:

~ 1) The proposed zone code amendment will permit the plannin cess to proceed in areas where it is reasonable to assum
sewer will be available concurrent with need, thereby pr
better guidance for future land use decisions.
2) There is evidence that sewer service will be available i
near future and therefore some processing can and should

3) The project will not result in any significant environme
impacts since all projects proposed pursuant to this ame
ment will be required to be processed through the Carlsb

Environmental Protection Ordinance, where potentially sig icant environmental impacts can be addressed on a project project basis. This amendment is entirely administrative nature.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
the 28th day of May, 1980, by the following vote, to wit:
