HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-06-19; Planning Commission; Resolution 1651L c e e 1 I/ PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1651 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN CHANGING THE LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM NON-RESIDENTIAL RESERVE (NRR) TO A COMBINATION DISTRICT COMPRISED OF PLANNED INDUSTRIAL (PI), REGIONAL SERVICE (RS) , COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL (C) , TRAVEL SERVICE (TS) , AND PUBLIC UTILITIES (U) GENERAL PLAN DESIGNATIONS, ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF EL CAMINO REAL, NORTH OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD. APPLICANT: KOLL COMPANY CASE NO: GPA-50 (A) WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to Those portions of Lots 'IF" and "G" of Rancho Agua Hedionc part in the City of Carlsbad and part in the unincorporal area of the County of San Diego, State of California, according to partition map thereof No. 832, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of such County, Novembc 16, 1896 l4 l7 WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request 16 Planning Commission; and l5 has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the by law to consider said request; and 2o 1 days of June, 1980, hold a duly noticed public hearing as pre' l9 WHEREAS, the Planning, Commission did, on the 11th and 19, 18 provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and 21 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and consid1 22 General Plan Amendment and found the following facts and reas 24 heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to the 23 all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring 25 // exist: 26 11 Findings: 27 11 1) The site is physically suitable in size and shape to acc uses allowed in the Combination District. 28 11 - F e e 1 2) Uses allowed in the Combination District are compatible t consistent with surrounding uses for reasons stated in th 2 staff report. 3 3) The proposed General Plan Amendment is consistent with tk. The project is in full compliance with the requirements of the Carlsbad Environn Protection Ordinance of 1972. 6) The project is consistent with all city public facility policies and ordinances since: a) Sewer service is not required for this project and c sequent development of the property will require thc availability of sewer service to serve such developr or building cannot occur. 7) The applicant has provided sufficient information to jusi a change of the NRR designation to a combination districi stated in the staff report. 8) This amendment is consistent with all other elements of i General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Planning Commissior 20 21 22 23 the City of Carlsbad, as follows: A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
