A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
CONDITIONAL APPROVAL FOR A MASTER PLAN AMENDMENT
FOR CERTAIN PORTIONS OF LA COSTA. CASE NO: MP-l49(E) 'AP'PLICANT: LA COSTA LAND COMPANY
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to
Fractional Section 23, Fractional Section 24, Section 25,
portions of Section 26 and 35, Section 36 and a portion c
Lot A of Rancho Aqua Hedionda, Map No. 823 on file in thc
Office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, State
of California, all in Township 12 South
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request
provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on the 16th day of
September, the 1st day of October, and the 22nd day of Octobe~
1980, did hold duly noticed public hearings as prescribed by :

WHEREAS, at said public hearings, upon hearing and consic

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning
Commission of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public heari~ the Commission recornmends APPROVAL of MP-149(E), based 01

1) The proposed development as described by the Master Plan
consistent with the provisions of the General Plan and ai
applicable specific plans.

at this time, their availability, concurrent with the nee
adequate provisions have been provided to implement those

3) The residential and open space portions of the community
constitute an environment of sustained desirability and
stability; and it will be in harmony with or provide
compatible variety to the character of the surrounding ax

playgrounds and parks, are adequate to serve the anticipz
population and appear acceptbale to the public authoritie having jurisdiction thereof.
4) The proposed commercial uses will be appropriate in area,
location and overall design to the purposes intended; and
the design and development standards are such as to creat
an environment of sustained desirability and stability; E
such development will meet performance standards establis
by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code.
