A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
ZONE CHANGE FROM R-1-7500 TO R-P ON PROPERTY
LOCATED ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH SIDES OF ARBUCKLE
PLACE BETWEEN MADISON STREET AND JEFFERSON STREET.
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD

WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to
wit:
A portion of Lot 47, Seaside Lands, in the City of Carlsbad, according to Map thereof No. 1722, filed in the Office of the County Recorder July 28, 1921.
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said application constitutes a request as provic
by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 11th day of
February, 1981, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescril:
by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considt
all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring 1
be heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to 1
Zone Change; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning
Commission as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearir
the Commission recommends"WPR0VAL of ZC-229 as shown on
Exhibit "An dated February 11, 1981, based on the
following findings.
Findings :
1) That the Zone Change to R-P is consistent with the desigr
of RMH/O for this property in the Land Use Element of General Plan.

3) That the project will not cause any significant environml impacts and a negative declaration has been issued by thl Planning Director on January 14, 1981 and approved by thl
Planning Commission on February 11, 1981.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the city of Carlsbad, California, held
the 11th day of February, 1981, by the following vote, to wit
AYES: Friestedt, Leeds, Larson, Jose, L'Heureux
