PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO 1854
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A SITE
DEVELOPMENT PLAN NO. SDP 78-1(B), TO DEVELOP
AN LNDUSTRIAL/OFFICE COMPLEX ON PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED OM THE EAST SIDE OF EL CAMINO REAL, NORTH
OF PALMER WAY
APPLICANT: HUBBARD
CASE NO: SDP 78-1(B)
WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the (
of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request i
provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission approved Site Developmeni
Plan SDP 78-1 with Resolution No. 1485, dated December 13, 19'
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Nunicipal Code
the Planning Commission did, on the 26th day of August, 1981,
consider said request on property described as:

Findings
1) The project is consistent with the city's General Plan si
the proposed development is consistent with the P-I, Plan Industrial, land use designation specified for this prope by the General Plan.
2) The site is physically suitable for the type and density the development since the site is adequate in size and sh to accommodate the proposed development.
3) The project is consistent with all city public facility p
icies and ordinances since:
a) The Planning Commission has, by inclusion of an appro
ate condition to this project, insured that building
permits for the project will not be issued unless the
City Engineer finds that sewer service is available tl
serve the project. The Planning Commission is therefl
satisfied that the requirements of the public facilit
element of the General Plan have been met insofar as

General:
1) Approval is granted for SDP 78-1(B), as shown on Exhibit , dated 8/10/81 and Exhibits B and C, dated 3/13/81, incorpc
ated by reference and on file in the Planning Department.
Development shall occur substantially as shown unless othl
wise noted in these conditions.

building permits will not be issued for development of tht
subject property unless the City Engineer determines that sewer facilities are available at the time of application

tion plan which shall be submitted to and approved by the
Planning Department prior to the issuance of building
permits.

8) All parking lot trees shall be a minimum of 15 gallons in

conformance with the city's Sign Ordinance and shall requ 25 review and approval of the Planning Department prior to i

30) Submit two (2) copies of a site plan showing locations of existing and proposed fire hydrants and on-site roads and drives .
31) An all-weather access road shall be maintained throughout
construction.
32) All required fire hydrants, water mains and appurtenances shall be operational prior to combustible building materi;
being located on the project site.
33) All fire alarm systems, fire hydrants, extinquishing systc automatic sprinklers, and other systems pertinent to the I ject shall be submitted to the Fire Department for approv; prior to construction.
