APPLICANT: SIXPENCE INNS CASE- NO: - . - - PCD-32. - . . - - .... . . .. 6 7 wit: WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property 8 /I Portion of Tract No. 117, Carlsbad Lands, Map No. 166 filed March 1, 1915 9 lo: 11 12 13 14 15 has been filed with the city of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a requc as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 23rd day September, 1981, consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considerinf 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring tc heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to the Planning Commission Determination; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commission as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commission APPROVES PCD-32, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: Findings: 1) The Planning Commission is satisfied with the size, shape a relationship of the parking facilities with the businesses be served. 2) The total of the parking spaces, when used together, exceed: the sum of the parking required for the various uses computc separately. I I I A - /I 0 e 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 3) The businesses utilizing the comprehensive parking facilit are compatible since they are all travel-service oriented will benefit from comprehensive, joint-use of parking. ~ Conditions: 1) The comprehensive parking facilities shall consist of a minimum of 169 spaces. 2) All conditions of approval of the Housing and Redevelopmen Design Review Board shall be complied with in their entire 3) All conditions of the Conditional Negative Declaration regarding traffic impacts shall be complied with in their entirety. 4) The applicant shall provide all parking lot improvements i compliance with Exhibit "A" dated August 10, 1981 and all landscaping prior to occupancy approval for the motel. 5) A joint-use parking agreement signed by the owners of all properties involved in the comprehensive parking facilitie shall be submitted by the applicant and approved by the Planning Director and City Attorney prior to the issuance I building permit for the motel. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the city of Carlsbad, California, held j the 23rd day of September, 1981, by the following vote, to wit AYES : Commissioners Rombotis, Farrow, Schlehuber, and NOES: None .
