A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
TWO STREET NAME CHANGES: 1) FARADAY AVENUE TO
PALMER AVENUE LOCATED IN THE CARLSBAD RESEARCH
CENTER, WEST OF EL CAMINO REAL, NORTH OF PALOMAR
AIRPORT; AND 2) PALMAR COURT TO CORTE QUINTA MAR,
LOCATED EAST OF ESTRELLA DEL MAR, SOUTH OF ARENAL
LANE.
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
CASE NO: SNC-18
WHEREAS, the Planning Department has noted a conflict wit:
8 Palmer Way, which is north of Palomar Airport Road and east o
9 Camino Real and Palmar Court, which is south of Arena1 Road a
10 east of El Camino Real; and

WHEREAS, the existing Palmer Way directly aligns with Far
Avenue being developed as part of the Koll's Carlsbad Researc:
Center; and
14 11 WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code

consider said proposed Street Name Change; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing a staff report was submit
all persons desiring to speak on the subject request were hea
the conclusion of said hearing, after consideration of all ev
presented, the Planning Commission found the following facts

1) That the Street Name Change would eliminate an exist conflict of names; and

2) That the Street Name Change would not adversely impa city's street name policy; and
3) That the Street Name Change would not adversely irnpa businesses along the subject street.

1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the Planning

Commission recommends to the City Council approval of SNC-18.
Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held 4
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
'lithe 14th day of April, 1982, by the following vote, to wit:

NOES : None.
ABSENT: Chairman Farrow and Commissioner Jose.
