PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1947
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING TO
THE CITY COUNCIL, ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT NO. 63, ADOPTING A REVISED PARKS AND RECREATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD.
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD CASE NO: GPA-63
WHEREAS, the City Council directed the revision of i
and Recreation Element of the General Plan which would meet t
requirements of State Law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did appoint.the Parks and
Recreation Commission to review data and provide input conce~
the Parks and Recreation needs of the City of Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has me1
directed, reviewed the new Parks and Recreation element and
approved the new Parks and Recreation Element; and
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was completc
the Parks and Recreation Element which analyzed the potentia:
effects on the environment which Environmental Impact Report
been recommended for certification by the Planning Commissiol
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on April 28, 1'
May 12, 1982 and May 24, 1982 hold duly noticed public hearil
prescribed by law to consider said amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planninl
Cornmission of the City of Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public heari upon hearing and considering testimony and arguments, if
of all persons who desired to be heard, said Commission I that:

Element meet the intent of State Law.
2. The City Council has determined that the Parks and Recrea Element is a necessary and desirable component of the Gen
Plan.
3. The Parks and Recreation Element is consistent with the f goals of Carlsbad and is consistent with the other elemen the General Plan.
4. That the Planning Commission recommends approval of the P and Recreation Element, (GPA-63) attached as Exhibit "C" October, 1982 and incorporated by reference.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1
