PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 1988
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A 20' HIGH CHAIN LINKED FENCE
ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE EASTERN
SIDE OF LEVANTE PARK.

WHEREAS, the city of Carlsbad's Planning Department
received a written communication, dated June 9, 1982, from the
of Carlsbad's Parks and Recreation Department, on behalf of tl
neighboring property owners, requesting approval for the

construction of a 20' high chain-linked fence to be erected ai
Levante Park, Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, Municipal Code Section 21.48.130 requires P:
Commission approval of any fence over six feet in height; and

WHEREAS, at said meeting, upon consideration of all
evidence presented, the Planning Commission found the followil
facts and reasons to exist:
1) The 20' high fence will not have a detrimental impact on neighboring properties.
2) The 20' high fence would prevent flying objects such as baseballs, etc., from falling into the yards of neighbori:
properties.
